Congratulations to music teacher Matthew Rotjan, who recently defended his dissertation, “In-between and together with: Exploring the complexity of repertoire selection with orchestra teachers and their students.” This work was in partial fulfillment of the Doctor of Education degree at Teachers College, Columbia University and was sponsored by leading music education philosopher and pedagogue Randall Everett Allsup. Dr. Rotjan (he graduates May 17) teaches grades 3-8 string lessons and orchestra classes.
