At the December 12 board meeting, Superintendent Robert Pritchard and the Board of Education recognized the SOCSD Family Engagement Center Student Ambassadors for helping our school district enhance its connection with our community. Over the past several months, Student Ambassadors have provided volunteer support to FEC outreach efforts, helped to coordinate community events and suggested opportunities to engage secondary students.
“The Student Ambassador program was created this summer as a way to increase student voice in our programming by identifying ways for the FEC to support students at the middle and high school,” noted Pritchard. “You bring a perspective that we, as adults, are missing. You are the ‘think tank’ of the FEC and we’re so grateful for your service.”
