GREAT NEWS: The USDA has extended free school meals for all K-12 students through June 30, 2021!
However, we are still urging families who believe that they may be eligible for free and reduced-price meal status to apply. Here’s why:
- Students who are enrolled in the free and reduced-price meal program receive significant fee reductions when registering for the College Board’s AP and SAT exams:
- With fee reduction, each AP exam costs $53, rather than roughly $100
- Students may register for up to two SAT Exams and 6 SAT Subject Tests for free
- Students are also eligible for college application fee waivers

It is important that eligible families submit their free and reduced-price meal applications as soon as possible so that they can be processed in time to benefit from fee reductions. Registration for AP Exams will be open October 30 through November 10; additional information will be sent to high school families before registration begins.
