Congratulations to the 13 newly-inducted members of Tappan Zee High School’s English Honor Society!

The TZHS chapter of the national English Honor Society was established in 2003 to confer distinction for high achievement in English language and literature. Inducted members are juniors and seniors who have demonstrated excellence in their freshman and sophomore English classes; published work on a school, state or national level; performed community service; and received a letter of recommendation from at least one English teacher.

“While this year’s ceremony might look a little different, we wanted to continue our tradition of sharing books as part of our mission to inspire reading in our community,” said advisor and English teacher Sarah McMane. “We hope that as you listen to our officers’ speeches, you might be intrigued enough to pick up one of their recommendations or consider your own.”
