At its April 8 meeting, the Board of Education appointed Kleo Girandola as Acting Executive Director of Finance and Management Services, effective today. Girandola joined the District in September 2019 as the District Treasurer and the Director of Financial Services. For the past two years, she has overseen the daily operation of the Finance Office, including payroll, accounts payable, accounting, and banking, and has been responsible for developing financial analyses, maintaining accounting records and preparing federal and state reports. In addition, she participated in budget development and audit preparation, as well as staff development and evaluation.
Girandola possesses extensive experience in public education and finance. Previously, she worked with local school districts on curriculum and professional development, assessments and the use of data to inform instruction as the Supervisor of Mathematics and Data-Driven Instruction at Rockland BOCES.
The Board of Education also appointed Jean Regan as District Treasurer. Regan has served as Deputy District Treasurer and Accountant II since September 2019. Her chief responsibilities have included analysis of the general fund and cash management.
