Seventy Tappan Zee High School students earned 2021 AP Scholar Awards for “outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams,” over the course of their high school careers.
“We are very proud of the broad range of AP courses that we are able to offer at Tappan Zee and these honors are a tribute to the great job that our students and their teachers do in those classes,” said Principal Rudy Arietta. “This recognition is a reflection of their willingness to work hard to meet and surpass the high expectations of AP coursework.”
Twenty-two students earned AP Scholar With Distinction recognition for receiving an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams. They are: Hayley Algert, Michael Cankosyan, Adam Garvey, Caleb Gordon, Joseph Gregory, Vienna Guzewich, Neve Hehir, Henry Huang, Casey Kousoulas, Andrew Lee, Gabriella Leone, Grace Linehan, Hannah Lustig, Dylan McMorrow, Kayla Ng, Gabriella Picott, Hadiya Qazi, Olivia Steger, Connor Tierney, Jaden Tyler, Adith Vettom and Peter Wu. The average score for TZHS students who earned the 2021 AP Scholar With Distinction designation was 4.15.
Twenty-two AP Scholars With Honor received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams. They are: Rachel Alexandre, Sonia Cho De Natris, Kara Dixon, Julia Fears, Max Greisberg, Sorcha Hayes, Michael Henry, Diana Kim, Noah King, Kellie Linehan, Kezia Mathew, Dylan Mundy, Stephen Neelman, Eoighan Noonan, Monica Rivera, Richard Ryan, Isabella Santander, Zahra Schenck, Zachary Sullivan, Sarah Tung, Zachary Visconti and Liam Wilson. The average score of TZHS students named 2021 AP Scholars with Honor was 3.63.
Twenty-six students who received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams qualified for AP Scholar status. They are: Gabrielle Arabe, Ruby Blunt, Christopher Byrne, Stephen Chin, Amalia Cho De Natris, Ciara Collins, Thomas Crable, Elena Hanley, Hannah Hely, Alicia Hludzinski, William Jacobs, Eujin Lee, Alexandra Looram, Lauria Martin, Irma Medunjanin, Saira Medunjanin, Luke Rabinowitz, Hayden Roimisher, Sophia Sansone, Benjamin Seltzer, Alvin Thomas, Joseph Varisco, Michael Verde, Kaylei Wong, Julia Woulfe and Marley Wright. TZHS’ 2021 AP Scholars earned an average score of 3.13.
