TZ Boys Varsity Swimming’s Henry Huang was named New York State Scholar-Athlete Swimmer of the Year at States last weekend!
“Henry truly embodies the definition of a scholar-athlete. He takes all of his crafts seriously each day. Henry is also one of the most personable young men that I’ve met. It makes winning this award of which he is so deserving that much more special for us at TZ,” said Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics Bill Pilla.
In addition to earning NYS Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, Henry is a 2022 National Merit Scholarship Finalist and NYSSMA All-State musician. He has competed on the TZ Boys Varsity Swim team since seventh grade and is a member of the TZ Boys Varsity Tennis team and a software lead for SO BOTZ, the high school’s FIRST Robotics Competition team.
