They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky; they’re altogether ooky…The Addams Family! This weekend, the Tappan Zee Players present “The Addams Family,” a musical comedy featuring everyone’s favorite ghoulish family!
Inspired by the 1960’s TV series and the 1990’s film adaptations, the stage production tells the story of Wednesday Addams falling in love with a nice young man from a respectable family. Wednesday pleads for her family to be normal when they host a dinner party for the boy and his parents and things quickly go awry.
The TZHS spring musical cast and crew are busy this week with dress rehearsals. “I’m absolutely blown away by what our cast, crew, and musicians have been able to accomplish over the last few months,” said Director Ellen Condon Macy. “They have all gone above and beyond to make this show truly special. At its heart, The Addams Family is a show about love. I’m so proud of the family we’ve created here, and we’re all very excited to share it with the world!”
Showtimes are 8PM this Friday and Saturday, with a matinee performance at 2PM on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased at the door but audience members can purchase tickets in advance at tzhs.booktix.com. Prices are $10 general admission, $8 for students and senior citizens. Senior citizens are admitted free on Sunday.
