South Orangetown Appoints New Board Member

The South Orangetown Board of Education has announced a unanimous decision in their search for a new Board member. In a meeting held on September 8th it was decided that the appointment of Guy De Vincenzo would best satisfy the attributes most sought after by the Board to fill the position. Mr. De Vincenzo will serve until May 2009 at which time he may opt to run for election to complete the remaining two years of the term.

“In a very long and thorough process, I feel the community of South Orangetown has gained a valuable addition to our Board", stated Board President Rosemary Pitruzzella. She went on to say, “We would like to thank all those who stepped forward to serve and look ahead to their continued participation in our district and our community.”
