e-Backpack Submission Guidelines

In its efforts to promote community engagement and partnership, the South Orangetown Central School District shares information from local nonprofit organizations regarding activities, events and programs relevant to families on our e-Backpack webpage.

To submit an item for e-Backpack posting, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations must email the following information in text-only format (no PDFs) to District Clerk Kathy Muscari (kmuscari@socsd.org) for review and approval:

  • Brief description of event, program or activity
  • Name of sponsoring organization
  • Contact name, phone and/or email
  • Website URL, if available
  • Post end date (no more than 30 days from date of submission)

For-profit advertising, information regarding political campaigns, religious organizations or activities and/or fundraising information for organizations other than our PTAs, TZ Red & White and school-based student clubs are not eligible for posting on the School District website. Please note that SOCSD does not email promotional flyers or announcements on behalf of external organizations.
