Noteworthy Items

2014-15 Calendar Changes - Please Review this Important Information

The Board adopted 2014-2015 Calendar included three snow days and we have currently used four snow days.

As a result, we will be adding April 7 (fourth snow day that needs to be made up) for students and staff to the calendar.

Please note that school will now be in session on: April 7, 8, May 22, & 26.
 


Nominating Petitions for Board Seats
The annual budget vote and election of board members will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. On June 30, 2015, the term of office expires for Board Member Annmarie Uhl. Nominating petitions for the board seat will be available in the District Clerk's office beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The number of signatures needed on candidate petitions is 30 (2% of last year's voting population).

Petitions must be submitted to the Office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015. For more information, contact Terry Campanella at 680-1012.
 


Show Off Your STEAM!
The 2nd Annual STEAM Expo is right around the corner and it’s time to register!
The Community is welcome and encouraged to attend!

Did you create an experiment, participate in a competition or create a project in science, technology, engineering, art or math this year?

Then join your fellow students and show off your hard work to the community in South Orangetown’s Second Annual K-12 STEAM Expo!

The submission deadline is Tuesday, March 3, 2015. No entries will be accepted after that date.

Tuesday, March 24 from 6:00-8:00pm at TZHS

Projects showcased include bridge building, magnetic-levitation (mag-lev) vehicles, robotics, 3-D printing, computer programming and much more!
