Dear SOCSD Community:

Because we have used our allotted snow days, at this time we will be required to make up one day. As per the make-up day schedule that is noted on both the February and March school calendar pages, the first available make-up day will be March 19th. It was originally scheduled as a staff development day; therefore, we will hold school for students in the morning and then conduct the staff development session following the early dismissal of students. Schools will be dismissed according to the following schedule:

SOMS & TZHS – 10:42 a.m.
WOS – 11:15 a.m.
COTTAGE LANE & TZE – 12:15 p.m.

As a reminder and also as per the District’s calendar, school will be in session on Monday, April 5th, Thursday, May 27th, and Friday, May 28th. These days would have been “extra” vacation days in the event that we had not used all of our snow days.

It is hoped that this will be the end of our wintry weather and that it will be unnecessary to make further adjustments to the school calendar.
