All Italian Club members working and/or dancing at “We The People” should see Mrs. Avantifiori or Ms. Crowe by Wednesday of this week. Dancers will meet briefly on Wednesday from 2:30-3:00 to practice.

Any student performing a Vocal NYSSMA solo this spring needs to stop in and see Mrs. Carney today to pick a solo, or have the solo you picked with your private teacher approved. I will be available from 2:30-3:30 in room 160 (the chorus room)

There will be an informational meeting for any girl who is trying out for the SOMS softball team on , Tuesday, March 16 from 2:30-3:00. Please be sure to have a ride home at 3:00. the meeting will take place in the cafeteria. If you have any questions please see Mr. Goldstein.

Attention all students: This week is Foreign Language Week and we will be having our annual mystery voice contest. Each morning in homeroom you will hear a “mystery voice” of one of our teachers or staff members here at SOMS. You must guess the person, the language and the phrase each day on the forms supplied by your homeroom teacher. You should fill out the form if you know any of the information. One winner will be chosen each day and receive a $10.00 gift certificate. Have Fun and Good Luck!

Calling all SOMS doodlers…we are looking for students that are interested in participating in this year’s Doodle 4 Google competition.  The theme for this year is "If I Could Do Anything, I Would…" There will be a SOMS competition to determine the best Google doodles in the school and the top 2 school finalists for each grade will have their doodles submitted to Google for the Doodle 4 Google competition.  All entries must include a doodle based on Google’s logo, a title and a supporting statement of up to 50 words explaining the "If I Could Do Anything, I Would…" theme.  All submissions for the SOMS competition are due by March 17th.  See Mr Olsen, Ms. Eyer, Mrs. Gargulio or Ms. Dougherty for additional information and to pick up your doodle template.
