TZE is the home for all second and third grade students in the South Orangetown Central School District. Our school is located in beautiful Piermont not far from the banks of the Hudson River. For the 2011 - 2012 school year, we welcome our new assistant principal, Ms. Sheila Beglin.

Each child at TZE is special and it is our goal to help students reach their fullest potential. We are fortunate to have an excellent teaching staff and a full complement of educational specialists and support staff to assist students in meeting this goal. Students participate in art, music and physical education and have access to the services of our library media specialist and a wonderful library of reading and information resources. A major goal of the district and our school is to provide our students with skills for the 21st century. Our technology specialist assists students with computer applications such as power point, word processing and graphics. In addition students are provided with opportunities to experience blogs, internet research, videoconferencing and movie making. They also learn about using the internet in a safe way. We have a wonderful lab with 24 computers and each classroom is equipped with a smart board. Our special education teachers, school psychologist, speech/language therapist, occupational and physical therapists and a learning consultant support students with special needs. We have a reading specialist at each grade level. We also provide instruction for students in the gifted/talented program and for children with limited English speaking abilities. Our school nurse, secretarial staff and custodians support the entire TZE community.
