Welcome to the Tappan Zee High School Guidance Department!

This portal will provide both students and parents with helpful resources throughout the four years of high school.  The department consists of five school counselors and two psychologists.  Each student at Tappan Zee is assigned a Guidance Counselor upon entering in ninth grade.  Through both individual meeting and group activities, we work with students on personal issues, course selection, post-high school planning, etc.  Please take some time to navigate the site and visit it often!

 

Attention Seniors:  If you need transcripts sent to colleges prior to the holiday break, you MUST bring your requests and addressed envelopes to your counselor by appointment as soon as possible.

Naviance

Naviance provides a powerful link between school and home with a customized, secure website that support planning and advising at Tappan Zee High School.  Each student will be assigned his or her own personal password protected account.  After your initial visit to the Naviance website, you can personalize your password.  Please note, guest entrance user name is: seniors

 

Naviance will allow you to conduct your own extensive search, look up specific colleges, compare colleges, and look at scattergrams (these charts show how recent Tappan Zee applicants fared when applying to specific colleges).  In addition, Naviance allows students to make a profile, create a resume, and create a college list.
