School Safety and Security Procedures
Dear Parents,
In order to keep our building secure, please enter Tappan Zee High School through the main entrance of
the building. The main entrance will be locked at all times.
Therefore, all visitors to the building must ring the buzzer at
the main entrance in order to gain entrance. A guard is on duty
at the main entrance from 7am-8pm during which time he or she
will buzz you in. When you enter the building please proceed
directly to the security desk, where you must provide ID and
sign in.
When dropping off your teen, please stay in the lane to the
right, and pull as far forward as possible; this will help to
keep our students safe and to expedite the unloading process. Do
not stop at the main entrance. In addition, please note that no
student will be permitted to enter the building prior to 7 AM,
nor are students permitted to be in the building without an
appointment with and supervision from a member of our staff.
Please ensure that students and other guest follow directions
provided by our security guards.
