Tappan Zee High School has a new online mental health resource for students and families: blogs.socsd.org/tzmentalhealth/. The website, created by School Psychologists Dr. Katelin Burns and Dr. Beth Jaret, is linked under Counseling on both the For Students and For Parents pages of the TZHS website.

Drs. Burns and Jaret compiled the site to share basic information about common mental health concerns among high school-aged youth and encourage students to reach out to their school counselor, school social worker, or to them directly, with questions or concerns.“We hope that this is a step in promoting open dialogue about mental health and giving members of the TZHS community access to information and available resources,” they said.
