South Orangetown Central School District

Two hundred K-5 students and their families had a blast at SOCES Family Tech Night on November 14 at Cottage Lane Elementary School! With Bristlebots, Snap Circuits, Lego, plenty of robot driving practice (with SO BOTZ’s AlphaBot, too), it was a great opportunity to get hands-on with fun, educational activities.

“This is the first time for this event, which furthers our district’s drive to establish a culture of innovation in our community,” said K-12 Instructional Technology Coach Marc Eckert. Mr. Eckert hopes that the night inspires students to think creatively about projects to build for the School Maker Faire in March.
