Each fall, South Orangetown schools roll out the “Help Card” campaign to encourage students to reach out for support and to provide them with contacts and resources they can rely on during the school year. This summer, the District is in the process of hiring school prevention counselors and an elementary school counselor this summer to further expand supports for students across all grade levels.
Since the needs of students and families don’t begin and end with the school year, our school social workers and Family Engagement Center Coordinator have compiled a list of community resources that may be accessed year-round. View it here.
For any matter of concern, please don’t hesitate to contact Executive Director for Pupil Personnel Services Dr. Karen Tesik directly at [email protected] or (845) 680-1025.
