South Orangetown Central School District

This evening, the Board of Education and district administrators celebrated 11 South Orangetown Central School District educators who were recommended and approved for tenure. Celebrating tenure recipients in the fall is a new tradition, noted Superintendent Robert Pritchard. “Tenure affirms our trust and confidence that these educators will continue to do amazing work in our district for many years to come,” he said.

The ceremony was emceed by Director of Staff Relations Joseph Lloyd; administrators and Board members congratulated each newly-tenured staff member as they received their certificates. “During the last several years, our collective team recognized that your ability to inspire and instill a love for learning is something that we honor and want to continue. Moreover, we know that we can accomplish this goal by retaining members like yourselves. On behalf of our school district, we would like to congratulate you on your tenure endorsements,” Lloyd remarked.
