The SOCSD Family Engagement Center challenges students in grades K-12 to send us their best 30-second video PSA (public service announcement) demonstrating proper hand washing techniques, mask wearing OR social distancing! Families are encouraged to join in!
Here are the rules:
- PSAs must follow CDC guidelines regarding hand washing, social distancing and mask wearing. Find them here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html.
- PSAs must feature original artwork/images and music (no copyrighted material).
- PSAs must be submitted via email, along with the participating student’s name, grade, title of the video and parent name to FEC Coordinator AJ Walker at awalker1@socsd.org by September 15. (To protect our students’ privacy, we ask that they not state their full names in their videos. First names are OK!)
- Only one entry per student can be accepted.
Although we can’t share every submission via District communications channels, all PSAs will be shared with our schools for their own use!
By submitting video PSAs for this challenge, parents/guardians consent to having their child’s work, first name, and school shared publicly via District communications, including social media.
