SOCSD is streamlining the Food Service ordering process for families, starting Monday, November 9.
Here’s what’s new:
- Weekly pre-ordering of breakfast and lunch will be required for students during their remote weeks only. The deadline to order remains at 12PM on the Wednesday prior to students’ remote weeks, with weekly pickup on Mondays between 9AM-12PM. For example, students learning remotely the week of November 9 (Group A) must pre-order meals by 12PM on Wednesday, November 4 for pickup between 9AM-12PM on Monday, November 9.
- Grab-and-go breakfast will be available for all K-12 students attending school in-person.
- Lunch for in-person elementary students: In-person WOS and CLE students will place their lunch order with their classroom teacher each morning. Students will receive a pre-packaged lunch.
- Lunch for in-person secondary students: In-person SOMS and TZHS students will proceed through the cafeteria serving lines as usual to choose pre-packaged lunches.
As a reminder, breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students through June 2021. However, we encourage those who believe they may be eligible for free or reduced-price lunch status to apply. Free/reduced-price status is confidential and enables students to benefit from college application fee waivers, AP exam fee reductions and take a limited number of SAT exams and subject tests for free.
Menus for in-person and virtual/pick-up are posted at fdmealplanner.com.
