This afternoon, Dylan McMorrow and Casey Kousoulas were announced as the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Tappan Zee High School Class of 2021!

“Dylan and Casey have given so much to our school. They have committed themselves to TZHS through their hard work in the classroom and their participation and leadership in so many extracurricular activities. They are great representatives of their class,” noted Principal Rudy Arietta.

McMorrow has run varsity winter and spring track since freshman year and cross country since tenth grade. He is president of the TZHS chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, Blood Drive Team co-captain and vice president of the senior class. As a junior, McMorrow was class secretary. He plans to major in biology or biochemistry.

Kousoulas has played varsity volleyball and lacrosse for the past three years, is president of TZ United and Blood Drive Team co-captain. She is a member of the several honor societies, including National Honor Society. Kousoulas intends to major in engineering.

The valedictorian and salutatorian have the privilege of delivering commencement speeches and the opportunity to apply for scholarships through the Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendents.
