Cottage Lane Elementary School Technology teacher Jacob Tanenbaum reflects on lessons learned over a decade of coordinating the school’s annual Earth Day in the latest issue of “The Earth Scientist,” a peer reviewed science education journal published by The National Earth Science Teachers Association. Tanenbaum presents CLE’s event, which relies on extensive collaboration with partners at Tallman Mountain State Park, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and other local organizations, as an affordable outdoor education day model for schools.
