With just a few days left before our December Recess (schools are closed December 24-January 2), our schools are reminding students to bring their technology devices and school supplies home over break.
The District does not anticipate a post-recess shift to remote learning.
However, we are seeing a rise in reported COVID cases and, in turn, the number of individuals quarantined. Remote learning will remain available for students required to quarantine due to exposure at or outside of school, as well as those awaiting COVID test results, provided that they are well enough to participate.* Having technology and materials at home will ensure that any students required to quarantine through the start of the new year will be prepared to return to school remotely.
District COVID reporting procedures and contact tracing efforts will remain operational throughout the December Recess. Information about how to report a COVID case is posted here. Please note that the COVID Notification e-blast will be suspended starting Friday, December 24 and will resume on Monday, January 3.
Best wishes for a healthy, restful and happy holiday season!
*Remote learning is not provided for students who are absent due to illness or travel as the District is operating on a full-time, in-person basis.
