South Orangetown Central School District

Student makers, show off your work at the 7th Annual School Maker Faire on June 9!

South Orangetown Central School District students in grades K-12 are invited to showcase the amazing science, technology, engineering, art and math projects they’ve been working on this year. A record 340 makers presented at our last event in 2019–and we’re hoping to make our 2022 Maker Faire even BIGGER!

  • High-tech, low-tech or no tech experiments, art and inventions are welcome
  • Beginner and experienced makers are encouraged to share their creations
  • Students can register projects they’ve worked on in school or own their own
  • There is no cost to participate or attend and the event is open to the public

The 7th Annual School Maker Faire is Thursday, June 9, 6-8PM, in the Tappan Zee High School rear parking lot. (Park in the Dutch Hill Road lot.) New this year: Food trucks will be on-site for families to purchase a bite to eat!

For more information or to register, visit the SOCSD School MakerFaire website at blogs.socsd.org/makerfaire. Don’t delay–the deadline to register is Monday, May 30.

The SOCSD School Maker Faire is hosted annually by the Office of Curriculum & Instruction. Thanks to the SOCSD Family Engagement Center for coordinating food trucks for this year’s event!
