Students learn best in healthy and secure environments.
With this understanding, the South Orangetown Central School District Board of Education, administrative team and Facilities Planning Committee have spent the past several years engaged in long-range master capital planning.
During this time, the District has invested in ongoing maintenance and capital work. However, to more comprehensively address our aging facilities, voters passed a $49.9 million Capital Improvements Bond referendum in March 2022 and have supported annual budget allocations and propositions–including the establishment of a new capital reserve fund in May 2024–to meet essential infrastructure needs.
