Winter 2025-26 Sports Registration Information

HIGH SCHOOL

  • Online registration for all high school sports via Sportz Ventures opens October 20 and closes on November 26. If students DO NOT register before Sportz Ventures closes at 3PM on November 26, they will not be cleared. There will be no exceptions.
  • Practices and contests for high school sports are held six days per week.
  • See 2025-26 Key Dates below for other important Winter 2025-26 sports deadlines

MODIFIED

  • Online registration for modified sports via Sportz Ventures opens November 3 and closes on December 10. If students DO NOT register before Sportz Ventures closes at 3PM on December 10, they will not be cleared. There will be no exceptions.
  • Practices and contests for modified sports are held five days per week (Monday-Friday).
  • See 2025-26 Key Dates below for other important Winter 2025-26 sports deadlines

TZ Athletic Hall of Fame

The Tappan Zee Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2009 to honor distinguished Tappan Zee High School athletes, coaches and teams. Community service contributions are also occasionally recognized.

The Hall of Fame Committee accepts nominations on a rolling basis, with a submission deadline of March 1. An athlete or team may be nominated ten (10) years after graduation. A coach must have coached a Tappan Zee team for a minimum of five (5) years and may not be considered until five (5) years after leaving coaching.

The annual induction dinner is held in November. Inductee names are inscribed on a plaque mounted outside Dutchmen Arena at Tappan Zee High School.
