49 SOCSD Students Perform at RCMEA Intermediate All County Festival

Forty-nine SOCSD student-musicians performed in the Rockland County Music Educators Association Intermediate All-County Music Festival at Clarkstown South High School February 28-March 1! Selections were based on the students’ outstanding solo audition scores from last spring’s New York State School Music Association solo evaluation festival.

The annual RCMEA festivals provide students with opportunities to perform with the best ensembles in the county with notable music professionals from across the United States. Earlier this year, SOCSD student-musicians also participated in the NYSSMA All-States and the Area All-States along with the RCMEA Senior, Junior, Contemporary/Jazz Instrumental and Contemporary/Jazz Choir All-County Music Festivals.
