Brady Promoted to Assistant Superintendent for Technology & Innovation

At its August 12 meeting, the Board of Education approved the promotion of George Brady to Assistant Superintendent for Technology and Innovation, effective August 13, 2025.

“Mr. Brady is a visionary educational leader whose work is rooted in supporting teaching and learning through the strategic integration of technology, data systems and safety initiatives,” said Superintendent of Schools Brian Culot, Ed.D. “For the past 17 years, he has been instrumental in shaping our District’s digital infrastructure, operational efficiency and instructional technology innovation.”

Since 2008, Brady has served as Director of Technology for the South Orangetown Central School District. He oversees a budget of more than $3 million and directs network and technology support, student information system and data management, professional development, technology-related contracts and policies, and hardware and software procurement. Brady also leads the identification, evaluation and recommendation of emerging, innovative and cost-effective technology solutions and the design and implementation of technology infrastructure projects. As the District’s Chief Information Officer and Data Protection Officer, Brady is responsible for ensuring the security and privacy of student data. He chairs the Districtwide Technology Committee and is a veteran member of the District Executive Leadership and Districtwide Safety teams, as well as the Facilities Planning, Curriculum and Professional Development committees. 

Prior to joining SOCSD, Brady was Regional Coordinator for the Southern Westchester BOCES/Lower Hudson Regional Information Center for eight years, where he had previously served as a project manager. Brady holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY Albany, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, Chief Information Officer Certification from Pace University/Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES and permanent New York State School District Leader certification. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Manhattanville College.
