Cerbolles, Lattimer and Witek Selected for All-Eastern Honors Ensembles

Tappan Zee High School is proud to announce that senior Angelique Cerbolles and juniors Alison Lattimer and Lukas Witek have been selected to perform in the prestigious 2025 National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Honors Ensembles at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT, from April 24-27.

Angelique and Alison will perform with the All-Eastern Honors Mixed Chorus; Lukas, a violinist, will perform with the All-Eastern Honors Orchestra. Their selection for this highly competitive event underscores their remarkable achievements as musicians.

“This remarkable accomplishment speaks to the dedication and skill of Angelique, Alison, and Lukas, and we are thrilled to see them represent Tappan Zee High School at this prestigious event,” noted Tappan Zee High School Music Department Team Leader Bill Hughes.

Throughout their high school careers, all three students have demonstrated exceptional musical talent, earning recognition from the New York State School Music Association including All-State and Area All-State honors.

Under the guidance of TZHS Choral Director Russell Wagoner, DMA and TZHS Orchestra Director Jonathan Rossi, these student-musicians have spent months preparing challenging repertoire for the All-Eastern event, culminating in performances conducted by renowned musicians in their respective fields.

The All-Eastern Honors Ensembles are composed of the finest high school musicians from across Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Europe. Selection is based on recommendations from state music educator associations and eligibility is restricted to students who have earned All-State recognition and ranked highest at solo festivals.

“Being selected to participate in the All-Eastern Honors Ensembles is one of the highest achievements for high school musicians,” Wagoner said. “These students possess exceptional musical skills and demonstrate the highest level of musicianship. We are extremely proud of these students who have gone above just state recognition but represent the best of the East Coast and Europe.”

Congratulations to Angelique, Alison, and Lukas on this outstanding achievement!
