CLE and SOMS Host Annual Art Shows
Our students’ creativity was on full display at two art shows this month!
Families, staff and students enjoyed celebrating the artistic talents of our students in grades 3-5 last Thursday, whose artwork showcased imagination, skill and self-expression across a variety of mediums during the annual Cottage Lane Elementary School Art Show hosted by CLE Art teacher Tiffany Divenere.
This morning, students enrolled in Allison Meyers Riley Schoales’ Studio Art classes at South Orangetown Middle School proudly displayed their artwork for their families and peers to enjoy during the annual Eighth Grade Studio Art Show. The exhibition features the work of 64 student artists, the largest number of artists the exhibition has seen over the years. Eighth graders who successfully complete the course earn one credit toward their New York State graduation requirements and are eligible to register for advanced art electives at Tappan Zee High School.
