Seventeen Students Selected for Annual NYSSMA Festival
Please join us in singing the praises of 17 SOCSD students (not all pictured), who have been selected to perform in the upcoming (November 21-22) 2025 New York State School Music Association's (NYSSMA) Area All-State Festival in New Windsor. These individuals from Tappan Zee High School were chosen based on their high-ranking NYSSMA scores from last May. Congratulations and safe travels to: Sean Han, Esther Hwang, Lukas Witek (Violin 1), Elise Moon (Violin 2), Haley Jung (Viola), Neil Oza (Cello), Delia Spiegelman (Horn 2, Orchestra); Emily Lee (Flute 1, Band); Ella Adamo (Soprano I), Natalie Aponte (Soprano II), Miriam George, Anna Hovsepian, Vivian Shusterman (Alto I, Treble Chorus); Luca DeCaro (Tenor II), Sabrina Guzman, Alison Lattimer (Soprano I) and Ella Kropp (Alto I, Mixed Chorus)!
