Take a page out of our Tappan Zee High School students' book and get out and VOTE!
Representatives from the Rockland County Board of Elections recently met with Grade 12 classes to encourage them to exercise this important right (and responsibility), first by getting registered. Seniors learned more about the process as well as the difference between primary and general elections, what selecting a party affiliation means and how to apply for an absentee ballot if they are going away to college. Organized by TZHS Social Studies teacher Christine Drivas, the annual visit provides an opportunity for students to put what they've learned into practice and start enacting real change.
