Greetings From Europe!

Greetings From Europe!

Thirty-eight seniors and five faculty members from Tappan Zee High School spent the Spring Recess traveling across the continent — turning the world into their classroom.

"From Milan and the breathtaking Cinque Terre in Italy, including the colorful coastal town of Portovenere, we immersed ourselves in Italian culture, cuisine and daily life," said Spanish teacher Adolfo Godinez on behalf of his fellow World Language educators Suzanne Grinberg and Jacqueline Ritz and colleagues Frances Duffy and Stephen Cohn. "The journey continued with a memorable pit stop in Monaco before traveling along the stunning Côte d’Azur in France, where we explored seaside views in Nice and experienced the charm of towns like St. Paul de Vence and Aix-en-Provence through local markets, art and history. The trip concluded in Barcelona, Spain, where we visited iconic landmarks such as Sagrada Família and Montserrat, while learning about the region’s rich culture, architecture and traditions. Along the way, we practiced language skills in real-world settings, built meaningful connections and learned from one another."

More than a trip, this was an opportunity for our world travelers to grow as global citizens and make lasting memories before graduation. "We are incredibly proud of our students for how they represented our school throughout this unforgettable journey," said Adolfo. Welcome home!
