As the chief medical leaders in their buildings, the South Orangetown Central School District's team of Registered Nurses works tirelessly to protect and promote the health of our nearly 3,000 students, spanning in age from Pre-K through Grade 12.
School nurses play a crucial role in keeping all students healthy, safe and ready to learn. Every day, these dedicated healthcare professionals bridge healthcare and education to provide preventative and screening services; treat injuries and illness during the school day; coordinate care for students with serious medical conditions; communicate with families and much, much more.
