Practicing Bus Safety

Lessons aren't just reserved for the classroom!

Our schools this week are wrapping up their first bus safety drills of the year. New York State requires that every school perform a minimum of three — one each in the fall, winter and spring. Over the last several days, students reviewed appropriate conduct (e.g. keeping the aisle clear) and where different features are located (e.g. cameras, emergency brake and exits) as well as practiced procedures for evacuating (e.g. via the rear emergency exit).
