SO BOTZ Kickoff Competition Season
SO BOTZ kicked off the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season at the Hudson Valley Regional last weekend!
The 2026 FRC Hudson Valley Regional Competition was held at Rockland Community College and Tappan Zee High School joined 47 high school teams from across New York as well as Hawaii, the Dominican Republic, Chinese Taipei and Turkey. The event kicked off last Thursday as the team worked on their robot, Icarus, and they used the day to build and practice before the competition began on Friday.
The team also won two awards: the Regional Engineering Inspiration Award sponsored by SpaceX and founding team mentor volunteer Joey Gottlieb received the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award!
