SOCSD Celebrates Dedication

SOCSD Celebrates Dedication

Celebration was the theme last night, as the District honored its 2024 tenure recipients and Board of Education members.

“Extensive experience,” “thoughtful planner,” “strong collaborator” and “truly knows their students” were among the phrases building administrators used to describe newly-tenured educators Lindsay Holihan (WOS), Lisa Murphy, PsyD (WOS), Megan Osso (CLE) and Wendy Stewart (SOMS).

“We spend a lot of time on the tenure review process, which we take very seriously,” noted Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Joseph Lloyd, PhD. “You are the very best in this District and we are honored to have you as teammates.”

At the start of his Superintendent’s Report, Brian Culot, EdD, presented each Board member with a New York State School Boards Association School Board Recognition Week certificate of appreciation and expressed gratitude on behalf of the SOCSD community.

He said, “We are grateful for your dedication and commitment to our school community. I appreciate you being here on so many nights, and behind the scenes, to support our students.”

Board members are volunteers who are elected to serve unpaid terms. Thank you to Board President Steven Finn, Vice President David Sansone and members Katie Gravino and Diana Korabel.

Congratulations to all!
