SOCSD Hosts 10th Annual School Maker Faire
Troy’s Eggcellent Osmosis Eggsperiment, Rainbow Milk Mayhem and An Intro to Cardiac Surgery were just some of the projects at the 10th Annual SOCSD School Maker Faire!
More than 120 South Orangetown students presented their inventions, research, builds, robots and games to the public at last night’s eagerly anticipated, interactive event. Students in grades K-12 had the opportunity to showcase their creative and engaging science, technology, engineering, art and math projects that they have been working on this year at home or in school. Tappan Zee High School students presented their impressive projects from the Science Research course and Computer Science Capstone.
Thank you to all the students and staff who made this year’s Maker Faire possible, with a special shout out to K-12 Instructional Technology Coach Marc Eckert, who has organized this event since its inception!
