SOCSD Welcomes New Educators
It’s New Teacher Orientation Day in SOCSD!
Superintendent of Schools Brian Culot, Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Rudy Arietta, Ed.D., EASO President Ronald Scherer and administrators from across the District welcomed our newest faculty members this morning.
The annual event is coordinated through the Human Resources and Curriculum and Instruction offices as the kickoff for a comprehensive, faculty onboarding process. At this initial session, new teachers learn about the District’s educational philosophy, structure and processes and start building their network by connecting with peers, principals and professional resources. Over the course of the school year, new teachers will participate in three additional workshops and will be paired with an experienced mentor teacher for support and guidance.
