Summer 2025 Capital Construction: Update #1
SOCSD this summer has not only been the site of programming and enrichment, but construction as well!
Phase I, Year II projects funded via the District’s 2022 Capital Improvement Bond are nearing completion at William O. Schaefer Elementary School and Cottage Lane Elementary School. Meanwhile, Phase II, Year I work has begun at Tappan Zee High School; additional, minor work funded via the 2024-25 Capital Reserve Fund Transfer Proposition at TZHS is also taking place. Director of Facilities Giancarlo Vinciguerra and Assistant Superintendent for Business & Operations Natalie Espinal recently accompanied members of the Board of Education and administration on a walkthrough to view the progress.
