Thank You, Assistant Principals!

Thank You, Assistant Principals!

National Assistant Principals Week is a great opportunity to thank South Orangetown Central School District’s talented squad of building leaders!

We asked the team to share what they love most about being an assistant principal and here’s what they had to say:

Brian Galvin (WOS): “I love being an assistant principal at WOS because of the connections and relationships that I am able to make with our students. It always amazes me to see the amount of progress that our students make during their time here as even the smallest of milestones are monumental, and being able to witness that is a privilege.”

Danielle Page, Ed.D. (CLE): “I love working with upper elementary students because it’s such an important time in their development. We get to help shape their confidence, amplify their voices, and support them as they discover who they are as learners and leaders. Students in grades 3–5 are the perfect mix of big ideas and big personalities. I love being part of a school community where students are growing into independent thinkers while still bringing so much joy and excitement to each day.”

Stephanie Grace (SOMS): “I genuinely enjoy working with middle schoolers—they are funny, honest, curious, and full of potential. Supporting them during this exciting and sometimes tricky stage is both rewarding and inspiring. Every day, I’m grateful for the relationships I have developed and the small moments that remind me how much heart this age group has."

Kevin Carbonetti (TZHS): “I value the opportunity to get to know and work with students at the high school, supporting their growth both academically and personally. There is so much for students to explore and discover, and I’m grateful to play a role in their journey. My goal is to empower students to become the best versions of themselves and to see that anything is possible, even when the path isn’t always straightforward.”

Alex Levine, Ed.D. (TZHS): “I am grateful to be part of a caring, supportive school community that puts students first and foremost. It is so inspiring to be able to sit with these young adults and hear about their goals, dreams for the future and to help them navigate the world around them.”
