TZHS italian Honor Society Inducts 20 New Members

The Tappan Zee High School Italian Honor Society inducted 20 new members and honored its 52 returning members at the annual induction ceremony on November 19!

The Italian Honor Society is a national organization whose goals are to recognize students who have achieved excellence in the study of Italian, as well as to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of Italian culture and civilization. To qualify for membership, students must have at least a 90 average in Italian and complete community service hours.

“The Italian Honor Society Induction is one of our favorite events because we have the opportunity to celebrate our students' accomplishments alongside their families,” said TZHS World Language teachers Maria Bruno and Vittoria Conway. “The support we receive from the school, the district, and the community is invaluable, and we are grateful to be able to welcome everyone into our Italian Department Family.”
