TZHS Math Team Achieves Top Score in Rockland County
Tappan Zee High School’s Math Team has achieved the top score in Rockland County for the first time since the pandemic!
Based on their high scores in the Rockland County Math League competitions, four TZHS students–senior and Team Captain Joey W., junior Jaywon C. and sophomores Jacob K. and Delia S.–competed on the Rockland team at the New York State Math League Championships on Saturday, April 5, at Chaminade High School in Mineola.
“It’s nice to have such a great group of kids who really enjoy math and can succeed at this level,” said TZHS Math teacher and Math Team advisor Seth Resnikoff.
Joey was the Rockland team’s high scorer at the state meet and the high scorer for the year in the Rockland County Math League.
