TZHS Science Olympiad Team Attends Columbia University SO Competition
The Tappan Zee High School Science Olympiad team joined nearly 100 teams at the Columbia University Science Olympiad (CUSO) Competition on January 24!
This annual invitational tournament is hosted by Columbia University undergraduate students and is designed to bring together some of the most motivated and curious middle and high school students from across the region. The competition celebrates interdisciplinary STEM learning through hands-on challenges, critical thinking and teamwork. Led by Science Olympiad advisors Nicholas Desantis and Judy Collins, participants competed in a wide range of events covering topics including biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, engineering and technology.
Next up for the team? The TZHS Science Olympiad team will join students from across the region at the Lower Hudson Valley South Division Science Olympiad competition this weekend at Maria Regina High School!
