WOS Celebrates UPK Moving Up Ceremony
Kindergarten, here they come!
Today we celebrated a very special milestone as our Universal Pre-Kindergarten students at William O. Schaefer Elementary School in UPK teacher Carole Widmayer and Teaching Assistant Maggie Van Der Leeuw’s class participated in their Moving Up Ceremony. Our rising kindergarteners sang the William O. Schaefer School Song and signed along to “You’ve Got a Friend In Me,” from Disney Pixar’s “Toy Story.” After they received their certificates, students joined their families to proudly share artwork they’ve made in the classroom and in the art room with WOS Art teacher Liz Piteo.
Our youngest learners have spent the year growing, exploring, creating and building friendships. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see them continue their educational journey in kindergarten!
