Dependable. Inclusive. Accountable. Curious.
These are just some of the words used to describe this year's You Make a Difference Awards recipients at South Orangetown Middle School. In the presence of their fellow honorees, nominating staff members, proud families and administrators, SOMS this week celebrated the contributions — whether in the classroom, extracurricular or other educational setting — of dozens of students across grades 6-8. Each awardee had a brief summary describing why they were deserving of recognition read aloud and was presented with a certificate.
