Congratulations to the 13 Tappan Zee High School Concert Choir and Chorale members on their Carnegie Hall performance last Friday! Our students performed with vocalists from across the country and had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Rollo Dilworth, Director of Choral Activities at Temple University and Elaine Hagenberg, the featured composer for the concert.
TZHS Choral Director Russell Wagoner, DMA, has been working with his students all year to prepare for this event. “The music education our students receive starting in kindergarten instills the joy to perform. That builds with each year as they develop musically and eventually leads to opportunities to participate in these types of final performances,” said Wagoner.
TZHS has already been invited to return to Carnegie Hall in Spring 2023!
