In the recently released 2022 Niche Best Schools rankings, Tappan Zee High School rated first in Rockland County and among the top 50 public high schools statewide. TZHS also ranked 38th for Best Public School Teachers in New York State. “It’s always nice to be recognized by outside organizations,” noted Principal Rudy Arietta. “Our faculty works extremely hard in giving our students a high-quality experience in and out of the classroom. Our students, in turn, make the most of the opportunities that are presented to them so that they can continue to learn and grow. And our community is very supportive of all these efforts. This recognition is a reflection of these three components of a successful school.”
The South Orangetown Central School District also earned a number of notable 2022 Niche rankings this year, and was the top-rated public school district in the County (47th out of 732 statewide) and 30th among the Best School Districts to Teach in New York State.
